Inteset Wireless IR Repeater, Extender & Blaster
This wireless remote control system kit allows you to control devices up to hundreds of feet away through walls, cabinets and other obstacles with no direct line-of-sight needed except from the remote to your TV. Obstacles such as thick barriers, metal studs and steel mesh in walls reduce the signals effectiveness but distances of more than one hundred feet are not uncommon.
Compact at less than 2 inches in diameter. You place the IR Receiver Unit near your TV or attach the IR Receiver cable to your TV if you want to hide the IR Unit. Your remote’s signal will then be received and transmitted via Radio Frequency (RF) to the Emitter Unit near the device(s) you want to control. Then you plug the IR Emitter Cable into the Emitter Unit, attach the emitter bud(s) onto the IR Receiver(s) of your equipment and the system is ready to go. If you use the emitter buds be sure to cover the IR receiver on the device you want to control precisely. The emitter bud must be right on top of the IR receiver of the device.
The Kit contains: (1) IR Receiver Unit (RX), (1) IR Receiver Cable, (1) IR Emitter Unit (TX), (1) IR Dual Head Emitter Cable (Controls 2 Devices), (2) 12v Power Adapters, User Manual.
Additional devices can be controlled on each emitter unit, up to 4, by using a 4 bud emitter cable. We have compatible 4 bud emitter cables available. You can also add IR Emitter Units if you want to expand the number of devices beyond 4.
You can create just about any layout from the typical installation shown to any combination of Receivers and Emitters that fit your requirements.
Step 1– Place the IR Receiver Unit and IR Receiver Cable in your desired location (ex: TV, Display). Mount the IR Receiver cable in a line-of-sight position for easy access by your remotes IR signal.
Step 2– Place the IR Emitter Unit and IR Emitter Cable on the device(s) you want to control. (ex: STB, DVD player, Receiver). The emitter bud should be placed directly on the IR sensor of the device you are trying to control.
Step 3– Plug the IR Receiver Cable into the IR Receiver socket on the Receiver Unit and plug the IR Emitter Cable into the IR Emitter socket of the Emitter Unit.
Step 4– Connect the power supply to each unit.
If the units are properly connected they will sync in a few moments automatically. Then when you press a button on your remote while pointing it at the IR Receiver the blue LED on each unit will flash.
If both blue LEDs do not flash check to be sure the connections are firmly in place.
This version works with AT&T Uverse, Dish TV, Direct TV, Tivo, Cisco STB’s (see below) and most other IR A/V products. If you have any issues with your device(s) be sure to let us know.
We strive to increase the devices that work with our products. However, at the present time, these devices are not compatible with this wireless IR Receiver.
- No incompatible devices at this time.
Troubleshooting Installation Issues
Please confirm the following on your installation:
- The base unit labeled IR Receiver is at the location that you want to point the remote at (usually your TV) while the base unit labeled Emitter is next to the device you want to control (i.e. Cable Box etc).
- The IR Receiver cable with the red plug is inserted firmly into the IR Receiver unit and the head end of the cable is mounted on your TV bezel in clear sight of your remote.
- The IR Emitter cable (2 heads) is plugged into the IR Emitter base unit and one emitter head is mounted directly over the IR sensor on the device you want to control-like your cable box.
- The power adapters are each plugged into a base unit in the jack labeled “5v” and then plugged into a wall outlet. (Tip: A USB Cable can be substituted for the adapter to plug into a USB port on your TV.)
- When you press a key on your remote, the blue LED on the IR Receiver base unit and the blue LED on the IR Emitter base unit should both blink.
- If you are having a problem with reception or range you should move the base units out in the open and closer to test if the units are receiving a signal from your remote when pointed at the IR Receiver head mounted on your TV bezel.
These steps should help with your installation and allow you to identify any problems.
Inteset USB IR Repeater- Extender- Receiver with 2-Head Emitter and Power Supply
The Inteset USB IR repeater kit allows you to use an existing remote control to operate up to four AV components located in the rear of the room, in a cabinet, an equipment closet, or anywhere else. The Inteset IR distribution technology allows you to conceal all of your bulky entertainment equipment, like your cable box, satellite receiver, stereo, amplifier, Blu Ray player, and more without losing the ability to control it with your remote. The repeater kit is wide band, which means it will work with the most IR devices. You can power the Inteset USB Repeater with the USB port on your TV, giving you a clean look and an easy install. If your TV doesn’t have a USB port, simply use the included 5v. adapter and plug it into any 110v. household outlet.
This compact Inteset IR Repeater is perfect for a simple installation in which you are only hiding away one or two devices. It consists of 2 emitters, a receiver, and a USB power cable. The receiver is a small, easy to hide device that you can mount on or near your TV. It must be in the line-of-sight to wherever you will be using your remote control. The receiver picks up your remote’s IR signal and transfers it over a small cable to the emitter. The emitter must be placed directly over the IR sensor on the device you wish to control. The USB power cable either plugs into the USB port on your TV, or you can plug it into the included 5v. adapter to power the Inteset USB IR Repeater. If you need to control more than 2 devices you can use a 4 head emitter cable which is available from Inteset and sold on Amazon. The convenient 3.5mm jack allows you to swap out emitter cables quickly.
Don’t be fooled by the products supplied by others that do not have the power adapter or the ability to change the number of emitters. Our system gives you the flexibility that you need if things change. Our warranty protects you against any problems.
Inteset USB Internal Infrared (IR) Kodi & Media Center Receiver with Cable & Custom Mounting Bracket

Inteset USB Cable for use with all Wireless IR Repeater/Receiver Kits
This USB cable can be used to replace the 5v. adapter that is used to power the emitter and/or receiver base units of any Wireless IR Repeater/Emitter/Receiver. It has been tested on Inteset’s Wireless IR Repeater/Receiver Kit base units but it will replace the power adapter of any similar product from another seller. The primary benefit is to eliminate the bulky adapter and give the user the option to power the base unit by plugging the cable into any USB connector available on the back of the TV or other available device. Inteset PC-IRS5-01 Internal IR Receiver for Kodi and other Media Applications with External IR Extender Kit
In a world destined for A/V control via wireless technologies, there is still room for some good old IR control ingenuity. Our Wake-from-Off, IR Receiver, allows home theater PC (HTPC) owners to easily turn on their system from a complete OFF state using a standard infrared remote control. Windows, Kodi and Linux HTPC owners can enjoy a true consumer electronics experience. Until now, wake from off (S5) was achievable only using special motherboards. The PC-IRS5-01 gives nearly all consumer motherboards this capability with no special BIOS settings to configure or third party drivers to install. The IR receiver works directly with native eHome and Linux LIRC drivers to provide full control of home theater applications such as Media Center, Kodi (XBMC) and MediaPortal using an RC6 IR remote. For those with systems placed in hard-to-reach areas, an IR receiver extender kit is included.
The PC-IRS5-01 functions based on a simple concept that works with nearly all consumer motherboards. Most consumer motherboards are equipped with a “power header.” This power header allows both an on/off switch and a power status LED to be attached to it. The IRS5 uses a simple “Y cable” that inter-connects between the power header and the on/off switch and LED. This cable allows the IRS5 to sense when the computer is on or off based on the state of the LED. If the LED is off, the IRS5 knows to turn the system on and visa-versa. The user simply presses the IR remote’s power button and the IRS5 will determine whether to turn the system on or off. The IRS5 is powered by either a separate 5 volt power adaptor (the same as most cell phones), or by an internal USB header that maintains power while the computer is in the off state. Once the computer is on and into the operating system, the IRS5 communicates with the OS via the MB USB header to control the compatible software.

Inteset Infrared (IR) Cat 5 Adapter Kit For Cable Box and STB IR Extenders and IR Repeater Kits
This kit lets you use your existing Cat 5 or Cat 6 (Cat5) cable to extend the IR signal from your TV using your remote to devices in a different location. You can use our IR Repeater kit as shown in the diagram or you can connect an IR Extender directly from your TV to your cable box over Cat5.
TV to Cable Box: To connect an IR Extender directly to your cable box plug the IR Extender that works with your cable box into the Cat5 to 3.5 Adapter using the Male to Male Adapter. Then plug the other end into your Cat5 long distance cable. You may need the short Cat5 cables provided to match the gender of your long distance cable. At the cable box end of the long distance cable, plug the other Adapter onto the cable and then plug the 3.5 mini plug directly into your cable box “IR IN” Jack. This only works if the Extender works with your cable box already. We recommend our 38-56 kHz Extender for this use.
IR Repeater at your TV End: Plug the IR Receiver from your Repeater Kit into the Male/Male adapter. Plug the other end of the Male/Male adapter into the 3.5 end of the Cat5 to 3.5 Adapter. Plug the short Cat5 cable into the Adapter. Plug the other end of the short Cat5 cable into your network jack.
IR Repeater at the Control Box End: Plug the Cat5 to 3.5 Adapter into the IR Repeater Control Box at one of the IR Receiver connectors. Plug the Cat5 cable into the other end of the Adapter. Plug the opposite end of the Cat5 cable into your network jack.
Any emitters attached to the Control Box will receive the signal sent through the IR Receiver in this setup and then be sent to where the emitter buds are attached. You can control your cable box, A/V receiver or any other IR devices.
Inteset HDMI IR Extender for Connecting One A/V Device to a Display over existing HDMI Cable
This kit allows you to control any A/V device such as your cable box, A/V amp/receiver, etc. that has an HDMI cable connecting your A/V device to your TV or Display. A popular use of the kit is when the device you want to control is in a different room or behind closed doors. The kit uses the CEC channel that is part of almost all HDMI cables. Some older HDMI cables will not work because they do not have the needed channel. A good quality HDMI cable will allow you to control your device from up to 75 feet or more. The higher the quality of your cable the longer the transmit distance.
Any remote that controls your A/V device will work with this kit. Most Universal Remotes including our INT422 Remote can be used with this set-up.
Installation is simple. Attach each end of your HDMI cable to one of the adapters. (Either adapter will work as the TX or RX unit) Then plug the adapters directly into the device you want to control and into the display device such as your TV. Both adapters must be set to “IR”. Then plug the IR receiver cable into the 3.5 mini connector on the adapter at your display and mount it where your remote can see the front of the IR receiver casing. At the A/V device you want to control you plug the IR Emitter cable into the 3.5 mini connector on the adapter you installed and place the Emitter casing near the IR receiver in the front panel of the A/V device.
