Low Voltage Brackets and Box Eliminators
Single Gang Junction Box
Single Gang Junction Box
Not all walls are created equal, especially when it comes to installation projects. Sometimes location, building code, or materials prevent running wires in the wall. Brick and cement walls are especially challenging, but that doesn’t mean you’re out of options. With a surface mount box like the SINGLE-GANG, you can create a way to attach wall plates without having to cut into your wall. Any low voltage wall plate will work: keystone, speaker, decora, HDMI. Just attach the wall plate to this single gang box like you would any other low voltage bracket using the two machine-threaded screw casings.
The SINGLE-GANG is designed for surface use and is not meant to be recessed fully into the wall. It offers several points of access for running your cables to it and through it. There are two rectangular knock-outs for use with Raceway cable cover systems and a 1.25” opening for conduit. To affix this single gang box to a wall, floor, or other surface, there are several holes to accommodate screws, nails, or other hardware. The smooth plastic is not porous enough to accept latex-based paints, but this single gang surface mount box is also available in beige.

Garvin Low Voltage Device Box Eliminator Ring
Garvin WBF-1 Low Volt Box Eliminator Ring
Help Eliminate Gangs
Limited wall room but need a wall plate? This product will eliminate the large gang box, allowing you to insert into any wall.
With the elimination of a standard gang box, you will be able to work with a deal more room. The blue (gang) box also makes cable management a hassle as thick, inflexible wire won't want to go back in properly. This leads to awkward angles that cause wear and tear and even a distortion in signal. Not all walls can support a regular gang box, and if you need an outlet in that particular place then you are essentially out of luck--unless of course you have one of these.
Arlington Power and Low Voltage Box for Existing Construction
Streamline and simplify your retrofit project with Arlington’s LVDR2. This box allows you to combine one electrical and one low-voltage run into a single location, creating a clean look without any extra work. Designed for use with pre-existing construction, this combo bracket uses flip-up wings to stay fixed against the drywall. The tightening screw is easily accessible from the front of the bracket and the wings can adjust to accommodate drywall, paneling, and other materials up to 1.5” in thickness.
The power side of the LVDR2 includes a connector for Romex or other non-metallic electrical cables. On the low voltage side there are also knock-outs for conduit and raceway cable management covers- one ½” and one ¾”. These UL-listed combination boxes come in a standard two-gang size and can fit a variety of split power and low voltage wall plates for installation convenience.

DataComm Mid-Size Rough-In Bracket
DataComm Mid-Size Rough-In Bracket
Note: This product has been discontinued.
Rough-in brackets are used in new construction as a means to run wires before drywall is put up. This greatly simplifies and speeds up the pre-wiring process and is an essential supply for any professional contractor or installer. DataComm’s 45-0101 is a mid-sized rough-in bracket designed for use with standard 16” on center wood or metal studs. The galvanized steel brackets are perfectly suited for use with a variety of DataComm’s mid-size low voltage plates including eight potential knockout locations for running conduit or armored cable. It also comes complete with a 2 ¾” steel electrical outlet box.
You can secure these rough-in brackets with the receptacle on the top or the bottom for the most flexible residential or commercial application. The thin but sturdy design is great for use behind appliances and televisions, including the low-profile TV mounts that can often otherwise pose a challenge to the installer. The 45-0101 rough-in bracket does not include screws for attaching the bracket to the studs, but it does feature a built-in mud ring for ease of use after drywall has been put up. This product is made for licensed installation professionals only. For a larger footprint, we also have full-size rough-in brackets available.INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
