Binding posts, like spring clips, are one style of connecting speaker wire to a device, source, or jack. They use a red and a black color to identify the positive and negative terminals. They are mainly used with banana plugs but most, like these, can also be connected to bare wire. They can easily fit speaker wire up to 12 AWG and they do not require any type of soldering for a secure connection. The gold-plated connectors help pass along seamless, quality sound.
Each speaker requires one red and one black connection, so this wall plate is compatible with four speakers. Installing and connecting the WP-4P-BIND is straightforward and quick.
