Plenum cables are most commonly required to meet building codes in office buildings and, occasionally, homes. The word “plenum” describes an area where air circulates like above a drop ceiling. These areas are held to stiffer fire safety standards and they necessitate the use of specially rated cables. In the event of a fire, the unique environment in plenum spaces lends itself to a rapid spread of flames and noxious smoke. To meet plenum specifications, cables must be covered in a fire-retardant jacket and, often, are made of low-smoke materials. The Vanco 277125 24AWG High-Speed HDMI Cable with Ethernet is UL plenum rated.

The Vanco HDBT4K50 HDBaseT 4K@60Hz, 4:4:4 Chroma, HDR Extender with Bi-directional IR, and Power over Cable (PoC) extends 4K/60Hz, 4:4:4 with HDR along with audio, at a distance of up to 164ft/50m over a single Cat5e/6 cable. Also able to pass 1080p/60Hz up to 230ft/70m. Power over Cable (PoC) Technology transmits power over Cat5e/6, allowing either the Transmitter or Receiver to be powered without the use of a power supply for an easy installation. No EDID or EQ adjustments are necessary as the units automatically adjust for compatibility and gain. In addition, bi-directional IR pass-through allows for source and/or display control.
