Extend the range of a PoE connection

The Intellinet Network Solutions 1-Port Gigabit High-Power PoE+ Extender Repeater, Model 560962, is designed to extend connection distances from a PoE source to an output device another 100 m (328 ft.) via Cat5e or Cat6 cable. You can cover even longer distances by cascading these extenders on a network. The PoE+ extender does not need any additional power supply, as it draws the power it needs from the PoE input.

Simple Installation

Simply connect the "PoE In" port with your PoE injector or PoE switch, and connect the "PoE Out" with the PoE device that you wish to connect; e.g., a VoIP phone or a PoE network camera. That's it. There is nothing to configure. It simply could not be any easier.

The majority of fiber optic cable installed for audio, video, network and control is two strand (duplex) count or greater. This is because most fiber optic electronics, including SFP modules, segregate send and receive signal transmission onto two separate fiber strands. 

Simplex (or one strand) fiber is typically relegated to telecommunications runs, such as ISP feeds outside of a building. However, from time-to-time simplex fiber finds its way into applications where multistrand is required, either from damaged cable or a previously installed or mis-specified cable. 

The TechLogix TL-1GSFP-BD SFP solves this problem by multiplexing duplex communication onto a simplex cable.

Lower power strength increases the amperage and that generates more heat in the wire. Depending on distance, you may need to use more pairs or wire or 18 gauge wiring as a dedicated DC power buss – like low voltage landscape wire and run Ethernet on a 1-pair 24 AWG. How do you add an Ethernet line without running a wire? With TP-Link’s Powerline Adapters, you can use your home’s existing electrical system to transmit and receive your high-speed internet connection. That means there’s no cutting into your drywall, patching holes, or tripping over a cord. The TL-PA4010KIT is TP-Link’s Nano Powerline Adapter Starter Kit, designed for wired connections only. You easily can connect your computer, receiver, Bluray player, or any other wired internet-capable device just by plugging it in.

About the size of a standard credit card, these adapters are compatible with any standard 100-240V home electrical outlet. The Starter Kit includes two AV500 adapters and two Ethernet cables.
