The Simply45® S45-B003 is an 8.5mm (0.33”) snagless strain relief for use with larger diameter shielded LAN cables. The S45-B003 is recommended for all Simply45® brand shielded with external ground RJ45 modular plugs. These 8.5mm strain reliefs protect the RJ45 modular plug and extend the useful life of the termination. Simply45® recommends that strain reliefs or boots should be used with all RJ45 terminations.

Simply45® S45-B003 – 8.5mm (0.33”) Snagless Strain Reliefs Features:

For Large Diameter LAN Cables. The Simply45® S45-B003 is designed to work with most large diameter LAN cables. It can work with cable diameters up to 8.5mm (0.33”). We recommend this strain relief/boot for all Shielded with External Ground RJ45 modular plugs. You can also use these strain reliefs with other unshielded large-diameter LAN cables such as Cat6 Shielded and Cat6 Shielded Direct Burial.

Prolongs Life of the Termination. The S45-B003 takes the strain off the terminated plug. When you do not use a strain relief, any contact with the plug or cable puts strain directly on the terminated plug. Over time this could cause one or more of the RJ45 pins to become loose. If a pin becomes loose it will create electrical resistance.  Resistance creates heat. This could then cause performance problems or damage to the device socket.

Fits Over the Terminated RJ45 Modular Plug. The S45-B003 is designed to fit over Simply45® shielded with external ground RJ45 modular plugs.

Maintains Correct Bend Radius of the Termination. The Simply45® S45-B003 Strain Reliefs protect the terminated RJ45 from damage during the life of the link or channel. Maintaining industry standards bend radius is important for maximizing the link/channel performance.

Professional Finish. In addition to protecting the termination and extending the operating life of the link/channel, the S45-B003 strain reliefs also provide a professional finish to your terminated RJ45.

Trimmable. The S45-B003 strain reliefs are trimmable so that you can adjust the bend radius if necessary, to work in very tight installations.

This makes the terminated connector much wider and difficult to use in multi-port patch panels and devices. Therefore, many installers decide to forgo using strain reliefs. The Simply45® S45-B002P strain reliefs lock into the plug during the termination and maintain a very narrow profile. This allows easy access to the plug in these tight installations.

Up until now, using an RJ45 modular plug to terminate shielded 10G LAN cables such as Cat7a, Cat7 and Cat6a were time-consuming, and frustrating, and if you ever put a Fluke test on longer distance links or channels, the results were not exactly stellar. Of course, you could use an industrial-style RJ45 Field Plug connector, but those are expensive and still require more effort than they should. The Simply45® engineering team did extensive testing and development to design a high-performing Standard WE/SS (8P8C) RJ45 modular plug solution that was both easy to use and cost-effective.

Introducing our S45-1155 Standard WE/SS Shielded with External Ground RJ45 Modular Plugs for 10G LAN cables with FPE insulated wires. FPE (foam polyethylene) insulated wires are found on most of today’s 10G Shielded LAN such as Cat7a, Cat7, Cat6a with S/FTP, U/FTP, and F/FTP LAN cable constructions. The S45-1155 are IEEE 802.3 10GBase-T compliant.

Note: If you are using a larger diameter shielded LAN cable with PE (solid polyethylene) we recommend using the S45-1150 Standard RJ45 modular plug or the Simply45® ProSeries Pass-Through part S45-1755P.

The SSF-SFP-UMRJ451G is a high-performance, cost-effective Copper Small Form-Factor Pluggable (SFP) transceiver designed for Gigabit Ethernet applications. Bi-directional (BiDi) SFP transceivers are high performance, cost effective modules supporting dual data-rates of 1.25Gbps/1.0625Gbps and 20km transmission distance with SMF. These SFPs use Wavelength Division (WDM) technology, mixing two wavelengths simultaneously.

Cleerline™ SSF-QSFP-40GSR2 is a high-performance 40G QSFP+ transceiver module designed for short-range duplex data communication and interconnect applications. It integrates four 10.3125 Gbps electrical data lanes into a single LC duplex fiber optic cable, achieving an aggregate bandwidth of 40Gbps. Operating over multimode fiber systems, it supports link distances up to 100 meters using OM3 and 150 meters using OM4 optical fiber. This transceiver uses bi-directional optics with a nominal wavelength of 850nm on one end and 900nm on the other, making it compliant with the 40GE XLPPI electrical specification per-IEEE 802.3ba-2010.

Designed for reliability and efficiency, the SSF-QSFP-40GSR2 transceiver module features a power consumption range of 2.5 to 3.5W and operates within a temperature range of 0°C to 70°C.
