Kendall Howard 2U Vented Center Mount Shelf

Kendall Howard’s 2U Vented Center Mount Shelf is an economical, medium-duty rackmount shelf ideal for mounting into 2-post racks. The shelf’s 19” depth provides plenty of room to support monitors, switches, A/V equipment, battery backups, and more. Its center mount design allows the shelf to also hold deeper equipment, such as large, non-rackmountable components, while still maintaining its weight capacity. For routing and managing cables, use any of the cable lacing points, found in the front, back, and sides of the center rackmount shelf. Our Hook and Loop Cable Ties are a great way to secure or organize any cables coming in or out of equipment mounted on the shelf. The Vented Center Mount Shelf features side mounting flanges (or ears) for installing into a rack. Each ear includes four mounting holes that need to completely align into two holes of two U spaces. To ensure maximum support, the weight must be evenly distributed across the shelf, and four screws must be installed in each flange. While the Vented Center Mount Shelf is intended to install with the side panels facing up, it can be flipped over and mounted with the side panels facing down. The Vented Center Mount Shelf is a reliable, medium-duty shelf that comes ready for installation.

The Kendall Howard ESD Cabinet 32” x 16” Shelf provides a solution to support items and devices securely inside the enclosed ESD Cabinet. Although it is short in height, it is quite sturdy. This little drawer can handle up to one hundred pounds of weight! The Kendall Howard 3U Flat Spacer Blanks are a cut above the rest. Spacer blanks are often used as a way to fill in any gaps and conceal empty rack spaces in a rack or enclosure. The use of filler panels not only makes racks look neat, clean, and organized, but when installed properly they provide added support to the mounting rails. These spacer blanks are also critical for controlling proper airflow, especially in cold aisle/hot aisle applications.

Details

This specific flat spacer blank is 3U. A U (unit) is the standard size for a single rack interval. This blank spacer is 19 inches long, which is average for most rack panels. It is .06 inches thick, so it is extremely thin. The blank spacer is also 5.22 inches high, which is roughly standard for most patch racks that have around 48 ports.
