For CA Residents Only.
California Proposition 65 Warning

Proposition 65, officially the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986, is a law that requires warnings be provided to California consumers when they might be exposed to chemicals identified by California as causing cancer or reproductive toxicity. The warnings are intended to help California consumers make informed decisions about their exposures to these chemicals from the products they use. The California Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) administers the Proposition 65 program and publishes the listed chemicals, which includes more that 850 chemicals. In August 2016, OEHHA adopted new regulations, effective on August 30, 2018, which change the information required in Proposition 65 warnings.

• WARNING: Some cable, plastic, and metal products may contain chemicals known to the state of CA to cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm.

  • HDMI Extender Over Cat6 Cable with Built-in IR (Up to 180ft at 1080p)

Limited by the distance of HDMI cables and need a cost-effective way to extend the length of your HDMI cable? FireFold's HDMI extender extends HDMI signals up to 180ft using Cat6 cables with support up to 1080p. Built-in EDID pass-through allows display capabilities to be communicated. Constructed with a durable aluminum design with wall mountable cut outs for easy installation in any application, the HDMI extender features Full HD support and support for uncompressed audio outputs (LPCM, Dolby TrueHD, DTS Master Audio). IR control also allows you to easily control your source devices, such as Blu-ray players, television receivers, and other HDMI enabled devices.

Extending HDMI Cables through Cat6 Ethernet Cables

Designed as a solution for installations that require longer HDMI lengths, the HDMI-SINGLE-EXTEND uses Cat6 23AWG Ethernet cables to extend the length of a HDMI signal, with support for both video and audio up to 180ft at 1080p (1920 x 1080) without any loss of quality.

    1080p Full HD

With support for resolutions up to 1080p / 60Hz, you're able to view your output in high definition. HDCP support also allows protected content to be effortlessly viewed without issues.

    Audio Formats

The HDMI extender supports Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby TrueHD, 7.1 LPCM and DTS Master Audio formats.

    Plug and Play Operation

Setting up the HDMI extender is as easy as plugging in the HDMI source on the transmitter end and then plugging in the HDMI display on the receiver end. Plug in the included IR cables on both ends to allow the IR signal to be sent remotely, select the length of Cat6 or higher Ethernet 23AWG cable (up to 180 feet) to plug into the Ethernet port on both ends of the transmitter / receiver, and then plug in the included 5V 1A power adapters on both ends for operation.

For best performance, we recommend the use of Cat6 or higher 23AWG bare copper cables if running at the peak length of 180 feet. In practice, if you're running at distances up to 75ft, using Cat5e / Cat6 24AWG will not be an issue.

Works well with an occasional reboot

It works great in our location, though I had to setup a power timer adapter on each end to power cycle them once a week (Sundays at midnight). At first, the unit one end or the other would lock up after a few weeks of use. One is mounted behind a 55" TV in an air-conditioned conference room with the other mounted on the underneath side of the table in the same room. Neither were particularly easy to reach to power cycle them when one or the other was unresponsive. With the scheduled power restart they seem much more stable and work great.

    AWESOME !!!

From a camera projecting an event to a 3x3 video wall. Flawless. I used a 3 ft HDMI to the extender, a 3ft out to the video wall processor and it was AWESOME !! Over 100 people told me how this was the hit of the meeting... Great Recommendation.

    Great so far

Ordered 2 of these during Christmas sale making these I believe the best value of any similar solution. Only have 1 connected so far so time will tell durability. Worked immediately out of box.My set up is Directv box in my laundry/craft room to Firefold 1x2 edid splitter. 1 HDMI to local tv, other hdmi to this hdmi extender. Cat6 patch from the extender to cat6 wall plate with about 30ft run to central patch panel, another cat6 patch to another port on the panel that then makes about a 60ft run to master bath to a wall port and patch cord to the receiver unit of the extender. If there was a way for this not to work I should have found it with the multiple connections. But plugged it in and it worked perfect. Picture quality looks almost as good from native dtv box with no stutter or artifacts I have seen. IR works great as well...be sure to note there is a separate IR receiver and blaster so pay attention.

    Great Stuff!

I was skeptical at first about this product because for this package, most sites were selling something like this for way more. But I was installing an A/V system in a church on a budget and was told about this by from a friend. And let me say that I was highly impressed. Since, then I've bout several other things from Firefold.com and they haven't failed me yet.
