The Enable-IT 8805 Gigabit PoE Switch is a unique product. It can automatically detect any LAN device and determine if it is a PoE device and supply power with IEEE 802.3af standard voltage and watts.
The Enable-IT 8805 Gigabit PoE Switch has 4 dedicated 10/100/1000Mbps Auto-Negotiation RJ-45 LAN ports with each port PoE auto detect enabled. Auto detect PoE uses IEEE 802.3 PoE Power Detection (PD). There is no need to worry about the damage of PoE being applied to Non-PoE Devices and PoE connected devices are supplied with up to 30W per port.
The Gigabit PoE Switch supplies PoE electrical power on industry standard 2-pair (RJ-45 pins 4/5 positive and 7/8 negative) along with Ethernet data in one single cable allowing you to expand your network where there are no power lines or outlets. This enable you to deploy PoE devices such as WiFi Access Points, PoE IP Cameras, PoE Access controls or PoE IP Phones.

As a rule of thumb you can lose up to 6V per every 100′- 200′ of wiring, depending on the gauge. Lower power also means more amperage means more heat and perhaps issues with the 24 gauge wires in CAT5. You may need to use 18 gauge wiring for best distance results.

The Intellinet Network Solutions Outdoor Gigabit High-Power PoE+ Extender Repeater (561211) is designed to extend connection distances from a PoE source to an output device up to 100 m (328 ft.) via Cat5e or Cat6 cable. Cover even longer distances by cascading up to five extenders. The PoE+ Extender Repeater does not need an additional power supply, as it draws the power it needs from the PoE input.

The Enable-IT™ 265LP Gigabit PoE Lightning Protection Kit is a set of compact weather resistant units that provides cost-effective solution for protecting PoE and Ethernet devices from damaging electrostatic discharge and surges.
The units are fully compatible with industry-standard Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) devices and 10/100/1000 Base-T Ethernet networks, providing Surge Protection for Ethernet data pairs as well as the PoE DC power feed.
The internal High speed semiconductors clamp any voltage, positive or negative on the wires. The limits are /- 15 volts on pins, 1, 2, 3 and 6 and /- 58 volts on pins 4, 5, 7 and 8. The units are compatible with both normal and inverted polarity voltage PoE equipment.
