Amazon Comes Out With New Smartphone
There’s a myriad of smartphones on the market today, from Apple’s iPhone to Google’s Android. Amazon has come up with their own contender and recently released their version of the smartphone.
It’s called Fire, and even though Amazon is a little late with their version, it’s a good device nevertheless. And it has the possibility of giving other mobile devices a run for their money. Starting at just below $200, the Fire phone boasts a 4.7-inch display, a 13-megapixel rear camera for pictures and video, stereo speakers, and more. Innovative features include an enhanced carousel view, 32 gigabytes of internal storage, a 3-D display feature called Dynamic Perspective, and a Firefly feature that turns the rear camera of the device into a scanner that can read web addresses, QR codes, barcodes, and more. Testers say that Fire is a good phone, but it lacks features such as a fingerprint scanner, water-resistance, and a decent voice-assistant feature for making calls. But it offers a full year of Amazon Prime and unlimited storage for photos on Amazon's Cloud Drive. AT&T is Amazon's exclusive Fire partner for now. Considering the fact that it's Amazon's first attempt at a smartphone, it's definitely a solid one.
