I placed an order, but it tells me my payment was declined due to an AVS mismatch.

For your protection, we require all credit card payments be placed with the billing address tied to the credit card. Sometimes even a small discrepancy from the way the bank has your address entered can cause it to be declined. We suggest entering your billing address exactly as it appears on your bank statement. If you require assistance processing your payment, please contact a customer service representative.

If you are placing an order with a credit card tied to a billing address outside the United States, you will need to contact a customer service representative for a credit card authorization form. For your protection, we do not accept international credit cards on the site and process those manually after identity verification.

I paid with PayPal, but I received an email telling me my payment did not go through.

To complete a PayPal payment, you will be redirected to the PayPal site at checkout. You will need to log in to your PayPal account and process the payment there, then you will be redirected back to FireFold.com to complete the order. If at any point during the payment process you do not complete a step, the payment will not be processed and the order will remain on hold.

You can log into your FireFold account and pull up your order to reattempt payment if this problem arises, or you can contact a customer service representative and request a new PayPal request be emailed to you.

My payment didn’t go through. Why?

The most common reason is that the billing address did not match the address on file with the bank. The first address entered must be the address associated with your card. You can always select a different address to ship to. Other reasons a payment may be declined are a mistyped expiration date, security code, or an issue with the bank.

Your website says my payment didn’t go through but I see a charge on my account. What’s going on?

Occasionally, a second attempt at payment may have been successful or a second order may have been successful. In many cases, however, a bank or credit card company places a hold on the amount when a payment is attempted. If the payment is declined, the money is not claimed and the hold will disappear. This can take up to 72 hours depending on the bank’s specific hold times.
