Belden

Superior Products for Superior Customers

In a lot of ways, Belden is more than just another American manufacturer of network, connectivity and cable products serving the market today. Since all the way back in 1902, it has been committed to customers who demand unsurpassed performance and who deserve durability, reliability and ingenuity - all in some of the most popular products of its category available anywhere in the world today. Once you have an opportunity to learn more about the company itself and the story at the heart of it all, it will be easy to see why it has been the chosen brand of so many for so long.

The Belden Story

Belden was founded over 100 years ago by a man named Joseph Belden. Based out of St. Louis, Missouri, it currently employs over 8,000 people and had a revenue of $2.3 billion in 2014. But it didn't begin this way. Far from it, in fact.

Though Belden cable and wire products have always been synonymous with quality, it really began its ascent into an industry-leading brand in the early years of the 21st century. It was then that the company began a rapid expansion plan that, through a series of corporate acquisitions, saw it become a household name for millions.

In 2007, for example, Belden purchased a company called Hirschmann. This industrial marketing company allowed Belden to expand its offerings into industrial automation and networking systems. Later on that same year Belden purchased Lumberg Automation, which again allowed it to cement itself as an industry leader in terms of industrial automation across the board.

But Belden wasn't finished. In the final days of 2009 it purchased Telecast Fiber Systems, a company that manufactured fiber-optic systems for television broadcast production. The next year saw the purchase of GarrettCom and Thomas & Betts Corporation, an industrial networking products manufacturer and a coaxial cable connectivity and communications company, respectively.

This trend continued over the course of the next several years. In early 2015, Belden even purchased Tripwire - a brand that was devoted to the development, the marketing and the sales of IT solutions geared towards security and compliance automation.

The direction that Belden has taken even since the turn of the century paints a very vivid picture of where it's true priorities lay. First, it's clear that Belden wants to be the best at everything it does. It wants to hire the best people and release the best products. If those people and those products aren't currently under the Belden umbrella, they're not afraid to go to the source and find them directly - bringing them into the Belden family if possible.

But most importantly, it outlines a company that always has one eye fixed firmly on the horizon. If you could go all the way back to 2007, nobody would necessarily predict that something like industrial automation would become as big as it currently is. Belden could feel the direction of the winds changing, however. It knew that its customers were going to need better products in terms of industrial networking products or even coaxial connectivity and it wanted to be ready when those needs developed.

These days, Belden's wholly unique and totally sophisticated high performance products can be found in nearly every industry or market that you can think of. This includes but is not limited to the industrial space, enterprise businesses, broadcast, transportation, energy, consumer electronics and much, much more.

But for as much as certain industries may change and trends may come and go, a few things have remained true since 1902 thanks to the tone that Joseph Belden originally set. First, every product that carries the Belden name is designed and engineered with the customer needs in mind, guaranteeing the type of manufacturing excellence and solid end-to-end signal transmission solutions that people need to meet even the most demanding standards for data, sound and video applications.

Secondly, all Belden products are designed and manufactured to only the strictest quality standards in their respective industries. Belden doesn't just want to meet the minimum requirements. They want to blow those requirements out of the water, which is the mentality that has led them to develop the worldwide reliability and unsurpassed reputation that people have come to know.

This is the major reason why Belden has been around for 100 years and based on that, it's easy to see why they'll be around for the next 100 years, too.

Belden: The Products

As stated, Belden is responsible for releasing some of the most reliable products of any brand today. One example of that is the Multi-Conductor Category 5e Nonbonded-Pair Cable 4-Pair U/UTP CMP Reel. This Belden wire product features 24 AWG solid bare copper conductors, dual FRPO/FEP insulation, twisted pairs, a rip cord, a Flamarrest Jacket and much, much more.

Equally impressive is the Multi-Conductor - Category 5e Nonbonded-Pair Cable 4-pair U/UTP CMP Box. This again offers the same reliable Flamarrest Jacket, the same dual FRPO/FEP insulation and the 24 AWG solid bare copper conductors that you can depend on for even the harshest of jobs.

These are just a few examples of the many reliable Belden products that we sell here at Firefold. Rest assured that there are many, many more. Be sure to check back often as we add new products to our inventory to help make sure you always have exactly the item you need, exactly when you need it.

That Belden Touch

The fact of the matter is that people need power that they can rely on. In their homes, at work, in hospitals and schools - power is the foundation of nearly every aspect of modern day living that you can think on. Keeping that power flowing and that service headed to the people who need it the most requires a utility infrastructure with unbeatable reliability - all day, every day, absolutely no questions asked. This is another one of those ideals that Belden has dedicated itself to in more ways than one. When you pick up a Belden wire or cable product for your next big job, you can rest easy knowing that the people who made it are just as passionate about the important work you're doing as you are.

At FireFold, we always want to make sure that all of our customers have access to the products they need when they need them the most. This is a large part of the reason why we've gone out of our way to partner with brands like Belden. If you want to provide the best, you have to offer the best, end of story. Note that all of our Belden products come with lifetime warranties, same day shipping in most situations, a full 60 day money back guarantee and fast and easy returns should any unfortunate problems arise.
