Transmit Your Input
The Super IR series is a great way to consolidate functionality among Vanco products (HDMI Matrixes, Splitters, Switchers, etc), that are Super IR enabled, providing a setup controlled by a single remote. This transmitter plugs into any Vanco product with an IR channel and allows for a signal to be relayed to a source device.
This transmitter releases a signal, that is taken from the IR Receiver, to a source device to be read as input. Being attached to the end of a cable allows the transmitter to directly face the receiver on the source device for obstruction free transmission/reception no matter the placement.
One of the most common gripes with HDMI is the functional range of the cables (about 100 feet or so at max). Although HDMI has a CEC channel, to control multiple components (very much like this IR kit), if the cable won't reach then the channel is wasted. This transmitter can extend the range of a signal by 100 M / 328 FT so that you can control your devices even at length.
Making sure that their is a labeled "IR" port is really the only requirement preventing you from a nice, single control home entertainment system.
