    Worked great in our application. We had single mode fiber to one location, and only multi-mode fiber from that location to a new building. We wanted to have a "straight run" from the new building back to our central location though. We used a Single-mode fiber switch at our main location, connected to this converter, multi-mode out of this converter into the multi-mode run, and used a Multi-mode fiber switch at the remote site. Solid 1GB link over fiber, no errors and has been running great for 6 months now.
