      The 3x1 HDMI Switcher routes high definition video (in multiple resolutions up to 1080p) and digital audio from any one of the three sources to display unit. Three inputs accommodate the simultaneous connection of up to three high definition video sources, such as satellite systems, HD DVD, Blu-Ray Disc, and PS3. The output sends the high definition audio/video signals to a high definition display. The Intelligent Switch chooses the latest coming in signal source for the output.

      Example: if you want to switch the output from DVD to PS3, you just simply turn on the PS3. Once you power off the PS3 the output will auto switch back to the DVD player.

  • Cables with Equalizers or Repeaters are known to cause problems with Splitter and Switches with repeater. FireFold recommends using only regular HDMI Cables with this device.

    This is the best automatic switch I have found so far. I have tried IOGear 2 and 4 port switches as well as a cheaper 2 port generic option available from FireFold. All switches except this one had issues - some could not support HDMI cables longer than 3 ft (6ft would not pass audio through). Other's had issues with the Scientific Atlanta cable box when paired with any Philips HDTV. I have tried and so far I like it the best. Automatic switching works great too - the last device turned on gets the most priority - makes sense to me and so far I have not run into any issues with that. Bottom line: the most compatible and most friendly HDMI switch. P.S. I actually have 2 HDMI inputs on my TV and they are enough for my components but since my wife is tech challenged, I had to devise a simple to use system that uses an auto switch.

    I wish I could give this unit a great review, however I cannot. Switches video just fine but to this day will not swicth audio. In fact, I get no audio at all from this unit. Hopefully it's defective and the new one will work!

    Worked flawlessly in passing video and audio through from a Scientific Atlanta cable box to a Sony HDTV (where a Radio Shack switch had failed to pass audio). Also worked with a Component to HDMI converter bought from FireFold attached to a DVD. Caution - the converter remains on even when the DVD player is off and thus defeats the Auto switch - but the manual override works fine.

    I just purchased this item. I wasn't sure how well it would work. I even called to make sure it would work. To my surprise it works like advertised. I would recomment this product. Thanks.
