Molded--not Moldy--Boot
A Category 6 cable that features a molded, snagless boot. This cable offers many advantages over its predecessor, category 5, with the most noteworthy being the increased (doubled) signal bandwidth.
Molded, Snagless Boot. A wonderful feature to have; particularly on RJ-45 connectors who are notorious for getting snagged, making the connector rather useless. The molded aspect resists wear by giving a rugged and more flexible quality to the more vulnerable portion of the cable, which is where the connector meets the insulator.
Increased Bandwidth. Category 6 effectively doubles the signal bandwidth of Category 5 and is therefore suitable for 10GBase-T networks, albeit at lower lengths than normal. With robust content and media being in high demand--that demand ever increasing--being able to handle multiple requests for this type of content would bog down connections with lower bandwidth.
Reliable Quality and Specifications. Being UL listed and a product of the TIA/EIA standard ensures that you will receive a product that meets the specifications displayed for your structured cable environment.
