Description

The Cat5e Keystone Jack

The Cat5 Jack is the most widely used keystone jack in today’s market for networking wall plate solutions or patch panels. Each Cat5 Jack provided by FireFold provides outstanding performance, exceeding the TIA/EIA 568-B industry standard. This makes these keystone jacks perfect for use in today’s high speed networks, while remaining completely backwards compatible with all previous standards.

The Cat5 jack provided by us comes with a standard RJ45 plug on the outside. While on the inside, wiring slots are in place for a tool-required termination. All of our networking keystone jacks have 568A and 568B color codes on the jacks in addition to the easy trouble free 110 style termination.

Meeting All Requirements

Each RJ45 keystone jack is flame retardant and each is UL verified for quality and safety. These RJ45 jacks are 14.5mm wide by 16mm high and are easily able to fit in most standard keystone jack wall plates. Plus, they come in a variety of colors - both to help you keep your cables organized but to also allow you to match your keystone easily to whatever colors you are planning.

You can find a variety of keystone wallplates with us, which allow you to easily customize what you put into each wall plate in your home. You could combine one of these with a coax keystone, or even a RJ11 keystone, with just an easy snapping of each keystone into their place.

Quality to Last a Lifetime

All FireFold keystone jacks come with a lifetime warranty. So, if something goes awry and it is the product causing the issue, we’ll be more than happy to replace it for you - hassle free! Go ahead and get your hands on one, or many, of these today!

How to Punch Down a CAT5E Keystone Jack

Step 1

Start off by stripping the PVC jacket from the Cat5E cable. Carefully push the cable into the opening on the 15015C Cable Stripper, strip the jacket from about 3 inches from the tip of the cable.

Step 2

After threading the cable into the stripper, slowly twist the 15015C around the cable. This will create a small cut along the PVC jacket allowing you to slip the jacket off.

Step 3

Next, using your Cable Cutters (or any cutting tool), cut the pull string.

Step 4

After removing the pull string, untwist each individual pair of strands.

Step 5

Using the color coded marking, carefully push each strand into the correct slot.

Step 6

Carefully position the NPDT-GRY Punch Down Tool over each strand and push down, locking the strand in place. Do this for all 8 strands making sure they are securely punched into place. As you punch down each cable strand, the NPDT-GRY will snip the excess wire.

Step 7

Finally, after punching down your strands and making sure the excess wire is removed, reattach the plastic cap to the back of the Keystone Jack and you're done.

Almost too big.
Barely got them to fit in the plate (didn't buy wall plate through Firefold) but, it worked. Nice jacks, super affordable.

Good jacks.
Was worried they wouldn't fit into the FireFold Wall Plates (common problem with kjs and plates). Worked fine, fit perfectly, punching down the jacks was very easy and the posts are very durable so had no issues there. 5/5

Took me a minute
I'm not an installer and these jacks took me a few minutes to figure out, but it was super simple once I got going. Installed cat5e througout my entire house and installed probably 10 of these little guys.
